happy birthday card for a guy

hello all!! so i finished up a card last night , happy birthday card for a guy!! i love this one, quick, simple ...and using some of my new products!

I started off with some basic craft card stock and cut it 5 1/2 X 4 1/4, i used 2 coordinating colors ( a black and a maroon) in some paper from hobby lobby, the black was cut at 5 1/4 X 4, the maroon was cut at 5 X 3 3/4, i used a piece of "outdoor symbols" by around the block cutting it at 4 3/4 X 3 1/2 and then i took the edge and tore it vertically. i used close to my heart's blue denim ink and roughed the edges on everything! including the inside! I used my cricut cartridge to cut out the words "happy birthday" and a punch from the "wild card" cartridge. i absolutely love that cartridge!! i used the "enjoy life" stamp from close to my heart for the phrase and the man on the bicycle. i hope you like it!

Birthday Card

So my mom's birthday is on the 28th and I just finished her card last night.. I was struggling with it, had scrapper's block..ugh! However, I think it turned out really cute!

I started with just your basic white card base (4 1/4 X 5 1/2), used my Fiskars decorative punch for the edges. I used my 1 in circle punch and a brad to make the flower. Green ricrac across the middle. The blue paper is from Martha Stewart, and the floral paper is from Hobby Lobby from the "Green Stack" paper pack. The Happy Birthday stamp is from CTMH!

(the stickers look pink so i took another pic!)

i just stamped "Happy Birthday" inside.

See you next time!

Challenge 6

For this one I made a birthday card for my brother in law! I used the playtime cricut cartridge. I used card stock from Stampin Up . The star paper is some from Hobby Lobby. I made the tag with the Preserves cartridge. I used my Bic Mark it to write "Hoppy" Birthday.

Challenge #5

Challenge # 5 for My Pink Stamper http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-5.html , make something 3D:

So for this challenge I used the Forever Young cricut cartridge purse 8. My card stock is from the Green Stack from Hobby Lobby. This purse is about 2 1/2 inches and I used a small brad to finish it off. This one is the perfect size for the small 99cent fingernail polishes or the small Lip Ice.

Challenge #4

Challenge #4 for My Pink Stamper http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-4.html is to have something with a Mother's Day theme...and here's mine:

My mom's fave color is orange, so I knew that I needed to incorporate that. I saw the high heel and the rest is history. I started off with Craft Card Stock. Using the Forever Young cricut cartridge I made the high heel and the tag. I already had the button and my daughter shared her ribbon with me. The floral paper is by Confetti and the gold is from Stampin Up. I used my Bic Mark it in meadow green for my writing. I also used the forever young cartridge for the words shoe in..but i trimmed them up from "shoes" and "bling" !!

challenge #3

ok, so the 3rd challenge is to make something with the breast cancer awareness theme :http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-3.html

Here's mine:

I wanted to incorporate celebrating the lives for those who gave a good fight, and those of us who continue to either help the fight or are fighting the fight. I used white card stock for the base and distressed the edges with Stampin Up "lovely lilac", then used some purple paper for the next layer. I used black ribbon across the top from making memories. I used my cricut to cut out the words life, 4 , the cure...and then drew out the ribbon and used my straight edge to cut it out. I used my "celebrate" stamp from CTMH A Twinkle in black ink and then used CTMH petite perks butterfly stamp in white across the ribbon. But you know me...it didn't quite look right..sooooo a little bit of stickles on the words and butterflies and voila' ...

challenge #2

So the next challenge is to make something with craft. http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-2.html

Here's mine:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CARD!!!

it came together very easily. I started with craft of course as my base and distressed the edges with Stampin Up Bermuda Bay ink. I had some leftover paper that I bought at Hobby Lobby which I distressed with CTMH chocolate ink. I used some matching ribbon to make a bow. Then I took a piece of cream colored card stock, and used the diamond shaped stamp from CTMH Alphabets Stamp Set. i alternated inks from the Martha Stewart Create aquarium pigment ink pads in the ocean and stem green inks with the stamp and then glued it in place....but something was missing.......

add a "thinking of you" from CTMH Childhood Portrait and voila' finished product!!

national scrapbooking day!!!

well , i know i'm a day late, but i had to work yesterday so i'm getting things done today! Happy Mother's Day to all of you out there that are mothers by the way!

I've decided to participate in the challenges from My Pink Stamper from here :http://www.mypinkstamper.com/. Here is what I have done so far.

Challenge 1 is for anything cupcake:

I used white cardstock as my base and distressed the edges in "chocolate" from CTMH, I used the "Wild Card" cricut cartridge for the cupcake. I think the pink and blue paper is from Stampin Up "royal" line and the polka dot paper came from Hobby Lobby, a few stickles for the "sprinkles" and voila' there's my card!!

EGGSCELLENT IDEA!!

So I'm totally loving my latest project!!! It is for my secret scrappin' sister of course. I was really struggling with what to make her and then came across this idea at : http://www.alittletipsy.com/2011/04/diy-under-5-features_18.html , I couldn't wait to get started. I visited my local Goodwill Industries and for $3 bought the jar and candlestick holder, I already had some spray paint from a project in my daughter's room, some E-6000, a few jellybeans, some ribbon, and voila' !!

The whole thing measures 9 inches tall, it's about 4 inches wide. I did play around with the different shaped jars and sticks while in the store, but this one was our (mine and my daughter's) favorite!

So obviously I will need something to put it in and I didn't want to buy a basket....soooooo...

I bought a bag from Hobby Lobby for 99cents , I used the "CREATE A CRITTER" cricut cartridge at 6inch. The paper is a combination of Stampin' Up and some that I picked up from Joann Fabric. I used some ribbon from Joann Fabric (99 cents) to adorn the basket. I used tombo to adhere the easter grass and then hot glued the jelly beans. I took one jelly bean and dipped it in mod podge then rolled it in silver glitter to represent the prize egg!

For the back of the bag I just made an extra shadow of the bunny and then hot glued a white pom pom for the tail. I hope that you like it!! HAPPY EASTER!!!

Easter Gifts

not only am i a mother to 5 kids, i'm also an aunt to 6 great kids!! i always try to send them something special for each holiday so this is what i came up with for Easter.

I started off by ordering them one of their favorite things ever...Avon Bath Body Paints!! so i had to figure out something cute to send it in,

so i made a cute little basket!! :)

made just your basic box, added some 1 inch thick handles , had some left over bunnies from the "create a critter" cricut cartridge, used some "bunny" shaped brads to hold the handles in place, threw in some easter grass and voila!!

Wish i could be there to see their faces!! :) i <3 those babies!!

Easter Card!!

Okay, so was sitting here helping my son (who turned 16 today...whoo hoo!!) fill out some job applications, and decided to multi-task..this is the result!!

but it just didn't seem quite complete..so..i added this:

so for this card i just use white cardstock. I used a combination of CTMH's "Childhood Portrait" & "For Every Occasion" stamps, then 2 different Studio g Easter stamps ($1 each at Joann Fabrics). I used StazOn in black, Stampin' Up's Glorious Green, Lovely Lilac, Summer Sun, Bermuda Bay, & Brilliant Blue. For the eggs I used Stampin' Up's Stampin'Write in Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo & Bermuda Bay with the assistance of a Blender Pen and the Lovely Lilac . For the bunnies, i used my cricut cartridge "Create a Critter" and just did different sizes , then used some Glam Pink Stickles for his little tail. :) I hope you like it!!

Birthday Challenge

For this birthday challenge I used some of my favorite paper from Close to My Heart. This is "Topstitch" and will soon be retired. :( My son needed a card for a friend's birthday and asked if we could go pick one up , I opted to make him one instead.

I used my cricut to cut out her name and the "it's your day" , used my CTMH "celebrate" from the "A Twinkle" stamp set in Chocolate ink. Cut a few slits in the card stock to hold the gift card in place, a little bit of pink ribbon , and voila!

Needless to say, he says that she absolutely loved it and will keep this card forever!! works for me! ;)

my latest projects

It has been awhile since i've been on here , these kids keep me sooo busy!! Hope you enjoy my projects for St.Patty's Day and spring!!

This is titled LUCKY EWE, it's for my mom! It's a combo of Cricut Cartridges Wild Card , Create a Critter, and Thinking of You. I used 12X12 paper , fit to page, and so the items are 4 3/4 inches . For my words I used 1 inch and 1 1/2 inch. Most of my card stock is CTMH, however I think that I used some bazzil too! Hope you like!!
